Vatican, Oct 12: Kerala born nun Sr Alphonsa has become the first woman from India and second from Indian Roman Catholic church to get canonised, elevating her to sainthood. The canonisation proceedings were conducted at the St Peters Square at the Vatican before the Pope. The only other woman from India on the path to sainthood is Mother Teresa
